Complementary First Page
As we all know, the first page is one of the most important parts of any book. It needs to get the readers engaged. In fiction it often introduces the setting, main character, and sometimes even the conflict. In nonfiction it introduces the topic and establishes the author as an authority in the field. And in any work it shows the reader the author's style and voice.
And even if you write something other than books, free stuff is always nice. This is why I offer a complementary edit. Plus, it lets us get to know each other.
Technically, I am offering an edit of 300 words, regardless of if that is more or less than your first page, or if it is the entirety of your flash fiction piece. This can also be used for my other services, and it scales (since they are cheaper), meaning that you can get 600 words of proofreading and 6,000 words of beta reading. And these are all doubled for those who are subscribed to my newsletter.

I run a monthly newsletter on editing, publishing, marketing, style guides, and other subjects relevant to the industry. I do not send advertisements, though I do showcase the works and websites of any guest writers. If I have a sale of some sort, that will be included with the regular newsletter.
