About me
Though I now live in Washington state, I grew up in Mexico. During the long drives between my two homes, I learned the joy of reading. My love of books made me want to create them, and in seeking to create books I learned that the most valuable thing a writer can receive is honest feedback. Without it, our abilities can't grow and our work stagnates.

Another thing that I learned is that I love editing. I love finding the ways that a manuscript can be improved. I love helping a writer say what they truly mean. I love knowing that I have helped someone make their art better.
The written word is beautiful: both art and puzzle, both aesthetic and practical. I can edit pretty much anything (maybe not a doctoral thesis on physics, but still), but my passion lies in projects written by people who really have something to say. Are you writing an essay about what can be done to protect an endangered species? A novel about a group of friends navigating the process of discovering their queer identities? A memoir about how you recovered from an abusive relationship? Those are works that I not only enjoy, but relish. |
